Ok, thanks juiceme for the reply, doesn't sound like you can even make a phone call from Sailfish on N9 so I won't waste anymore time with it. Had a read about Freenet and installed it, looks interesting. Haven't managed to find anything Sailfish yet. Have ordered a replacement screen for my Nokia Lumia so once that arrives will be away from the N9 and its addictive ways
Phonecalls should work OK, at least did when I played around with it for a while some years back. The ofono stack in the N9 port is straight from nemomobile.
Voice quality was not on the same level as on Harmattan, probably due to unimplemented background noise cancellation (this means, it does not use the 2nd microphone to estimate/suppress background noise)
Hi. Just wondering. What are the main benefits of porting Sailfish to N9. I assume Sailfish is more demanding on hardware. Is the performance of Sailfish on N9 good? Thanks!
From reading his replies, it appears that he started from 1.1.0.39 and updated from there. His blog points to a post in this thread [1] for that image, but unfortunately the link is now dead .
