If Jolla refunds your $100+ dollars what phone would you get if you are no longer are an Apple fanboy?
As my daily driver today? No one. There is nothing. Possibly a note 8.
Currently I'm looking for a workout phone with 3 inch screen. My Xperia mini don't have any good roms anymore. Sailfish would be cool but jolla moving to slow.
So a smartphone with 3 inch is what I'm looking for. Will see if the jelly works out.

You?
Currently I'm using Huawei Mate 9 as dd. Pretty smooth, fast and battery life is good. Also like the 5.9 inch screen, Not everybody's cup of tea, I know. Android apps are satisfactory enough to take care of most needs. Although not a true gnu experience I can chroot a linux distribution which comes in handy at times. Coming from Note Edge I miss spen and will probably get the Note 8 as long as it is not too narrow. I didn't like the width of the Note 7 and had decided to not get it even before all the battery issues came up. May also look at the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. The other thing I'm interested in getting is a new tablet. My Jolla tablet, despite it's Sailfish goodness is getting painfully slow when compare to newer devices. Gives new meaning to www as in World Wide Wait. As far as I can tell there is nothing on the horizon that interests me with Sailfish on it. Xperia doesn't do much for me. Maybe someday, but I don't see it right now. Especially something that works in US. Makes me a little sad but that appears to be the current situation.

Nice, it seems that you have a nice setup. Regarding note 8 it will probobly be as S8 which is bad, the should move back to note1 format so will probably buy something else. Maybe surface phone
Don't have much time as daily with Huawei or Xiaomi top notch devices current. Doesn't really like the design. But I'm probably completely wrong here
It's obvious to me that one device can't do it all so it's good to have a few. Big screen rules, and regarding Xperia. No one of the devices attracts so many comments as a the old Xperia ultra in the free landscape charger. Thinner, bigger with a massive black screen makes any topnotch hw of today look like a toy phone
Look at it. Have you seen a more sexy setup? The phone of today don't stand a chance!
Whould be fun if I could sail away with that...
Edit: Anyway, will probobly end up buying another fairphone or something low tech.
What tablet are you going for? Android? What's good...Have haven't really looked at the latest here for a while since I' really like the surface pro series...
I would hope for tizen ...
but I think it will end up being niche...
not for the normal reasons....
Not for any other reason than the fact that the monster-that-linux-made (Android)
Is dominating the planet.
Sure linux won the desktop wars...
won the laptop wars...
and is now winning the smartphone wars...

But the cost...
At what cost?
Tizen how good/bad it is is the only OS with money currently. In lots of big screens too.
You yourself said it dave...
Android will end up having 99% of the marketshare...
To coin a phrase...
They are suckin up all the oxygen in the room.
Tizen ...Jolla ...right on back to the n900...
All the "niche" smartphone...wouldn't be "niche" ...
If it weren't for the obvious trifecta of evil.
WP (now heading to oblivion)
Ipone
And Androod
There would be more chance of survivability for the small start ups...
Even those who can throw money at the war of phones...
WP ...backed by all the might and clout ...power and money of microsift ...couldn't keep up...
What hope tizen ....hm ?
Smashsum is big...real big...but nowhere near microsift big.
Wish tizen luck...
We will see what happens...
But it is looking like android is burying everyone.
Yeah pichlo...
Last I heard....
PC wars ...laptop wars are done...over...and Linux has been considered the winner...
Now it is linux's ugly 1st cousin 3 times removed (android) that is winning the phone wars...
