I have looked on this site but no luck. I have licensed Wayfinder software but there is no voice on it. Sound is okay on N810 for music. I have the sound setting for Wayfinder at max. No voice commands. I must be missing something here.
On my 800, you have to go to settings, and download the voices before they will work. If you live in the US (or just want imperial measure) be sure to download Todd Belcher EN to get the bug fix for this too.
This was one of the things that gave me trouble too.
I assume you mean Settings ( in Wayfinder). My version has option Guidance volume ( on max), routing mode ( set to car), route type ( set to shortest), display mode, color theme, and traffic info. No option for sounds, in any language, anywhere.
Settings ( in OS2008) has nothing about speaking either.
On the 800, I hit the menu button, and it brings up a drop down which has "settings" in the list. From there I can change and download different voices. The voices were just like the maps. I had to download them and set them before I could actually hear anything.
I purchased the license for N810. The software that was given to me has install scripts for 770 or 800. Not 810. But Wayfinder says that voice navigation is supported on the 810 but the software sold to me doesnt support 810.
The "settings" icon has no choice of voice or maps.

There is a drop down menu that I access separate from the settings icon. It has more options on it, and voices is one of them. If your 810 has a menu button on it, this is how I get it to drop down from the top of the map screen.
It also has the "metric" and "imperial" setting" in it.
I ran into this same problem yesterday with my N800, with my Wayfinder Navigator license--no voices with the maps I downloaded. I found the answer not on Wayfinder's website, but in this thread. It solved my problem perfectly. By going to Settings in the Dropdown menu on the opening screen of Maps, you can refresh your voices list, and then just select the ones you would like to download individually and try. Thanks again for the instructions. You would think that Wayfinder would have had this on their faq page!
