Can't remove SwiftKey, but adding English support solves the problem
EDIT: and can turn off word correction in SwiftKey settings, was thrown off track as there's another word correction setting that was already turned off

    SwiftKey wants to capitalize itself

    Waiting for SFOS....

You can't remove SwiftKey but you can disable it or just install another keyboard such as Google's gboard or the Hackers Keyboard which has no predictive typing. I'm sure there's a gazillion other keyboards to choose from.

Personally, I can't stand SwiftKey. Usually it's gboard for me.

Just don't forget to disable the 'word prediction improvement' which sends whole sentences you're typing to their servers to analyse your typing habits... that's the case for all the major android keyboards

It's unbelievable how many hours you can (have to) spend on searching android system and apps for trackers, analytics and home calling - and still you have to trust that opting out does really stop it ...

This wait is making meego crazy. I know it’s sailfish to want more, but my n900s Maemo isn't QT anymore.
Perhaps the delay is because of Moblins(distant cousins of gremlins)!
… In any case, back to farming...

The SailfishOS build for Xperia X already seems to be way more stable than SailfishOS was in its early stages.

Back then they released the Jolla phone anyway to get something out and show they were serious.

I hope see a public installer for Xperia X soon and don't have to wait for it to be grandma-friendly.

That said major bugs like this could be blocking a public release: https://together.jolla.com/question/...nitial-reboot/

So far we already know that video recording does not work. So this is one of the reasons for the delay.
    http://www.merproject.org/logs/%23sa...08-23.log.html

Also, development of the infrastructure to allow the installation of pre-paid applications could be taking time (It was mentioned in a previous collaboration meeting). I think this will be used for the installation of alien dalvik and exchange support etc. after flashing the OS image.

I wish Jolla was more transparent on what is going on internally. It's been 7 days since they have told a blog update is in works. This is terrible communication.

Alien Dalvik [on Xperia X] will be based on the 4.4.4 (sledges, 08:54:10)

    What?
