Not sure what is more likely, Invasion by aliens or a catastrophic quantum based statistical fluctuation to the fabric of the universe. But it sure sounds neat!
endsomeans:
"Sorry for the doom and glooming guys.."
Please do not apologize! After all, this a countdown thread!
pico:
Even if the world is coming to a flaming end as Nero plays his fiddle, please feel free to correct my grammar.
Given how little knowledge we have about our surroundings and universe I would say its very possible. The storms a currently a threat to cities, not entire continents so are they really a black hole threat to humanty as in wipe out the entire planet?
Grammar can be a threat. But only to a few.
I'm still not good giving up on the aliens. I'm sure the will come through.
On the other hand. Give us another 250 years, or wait 1000 years and we will harvest other planets like the aliens in indipendents day! Who's the bad guy then?
We are. Have always been and will always be. The question is. Who will be our queen?
Our Queen has always been..."She who must be obeyed!.." ...of course...
Decided since now I appear to be superhero grade "stuff" ...
(yeaaahhhh...it's tough people counting on you to save the day and all...)
Changed my avatar from Bill the Cat to Powdered Toast Man...
actually it should be...
"Poooowderedddd Tooaaaasttt Maaannnn!"
I figure I am in that category now..
since coming to the rescue on the latest important mission...for an n800 in trouble..

Toast master!
How and more important when do we have enough technology to build the spacecraft with its own ecosystem and big enough to have its own gravity.
Ecosystem! Ha! It's gonna be soon the 60th anniversary since we launched the first satellite. We built two generations of space stations. Yet in those 60 years, we have not produced a single seed in space.

Well, we haven't realized that we have to leave the planet earth yet and expand.
Or smaller. Then more of us would fit in the same space.
While that is an option. Our size is hardly top 1000000 of our problems when it comes to building a mega size clone of earth environment, including capability to defend and attack foreign invaders.
First we most work together and many countries people are not able to corporate or somehow due to their agenda.
Now, one interesting if we actually got smaller would might indeed turn around our bad behavior. Currently we are longer, fatter with bigger house, bigger cars and so forth. Even our smartphones are bigger than ever.
If we would decrease our length and fatness with 50 percent we would indeed need less of everything.
