Create a jabber.no-sense.net account.
Download Gajin on your desktop.
Sign in, search for services, follow prompts for accessing Facebook account.
Allow access to all Facebook contacts to be able to see contact name and avatar.

Add XMPP account in Sailfish settings.
Now Facebook messaging through XMPP is an available choice in the messaging app.

Every time that Gajim connects to facebook my account gets locked and I have to change the password. Then I have to change the password in Gajim and I get re-locked. How to solve this issue?

Hi!
Thank you, it works (so far) with my n9! i.e. chat with one facebook contact!

I also have problems with importing the contacts.

I don't see emoticons (just a rectangle).

I think generally on chats, is there a fix?

Does facebook group chat work? (I installed mutli user plugin, it works with jabber accounts to some extent - I didn't get all messages and could not (re)enter a chat after leaving/ reconnecting, i haven't tried with facebook chat)

I had the same problem locking in for the FIRST TIME (facebook made me change the passwort although I I clicked on, yes, it was me who logged in), then it worked for me though.
