    hahahahaha....

    I must admit...
    funny guys...

as far as bullet proof vests for kids go...
when I grew up...not even a knifing let alone shooting ever occurred...
people settled their issues having a simple plain old fist fight...
and the individuals usually ended up friends afterwards...
sure bullying occurred...but ...it was frowned on...by kids and school staff...and was usually sorted out too...it just was different times one could say...
But as well...it is about the community that helps foster either good or bad behavior...
and I have lived in cities and found they do not foster the good.
Any of the remote and rural areas I ever lived in...haven't and still don't have such problems as exist today ...in the big cities and in places like the U.S.

I cannot imagine growing up in a place today where one does not know if you are going home on any given day from school ..by bus, ambulance or hearse...
That isn't how any kid should grow up.

If it's so bad, then perhaps we need to show them how it could be good.

    That is a great thought...
The hard part is ... that good deeds tend to have a gentle slow spreading effect that takes time....like a wave ..or better...a cloud.....or a hit from a pillow full of air...
whereas horrible deeds tend to have an impact like a sledgehammer or bullet...usually with an immediate impact and effect...

    Top the bullets ...
    hand everyone bazookas ...
then everyone will pine for the good old days when bullets flew everywhere...

wish I could laugh at that last one...
    but ...I just can't.

    best suggestion is....
use algorithmic programs to hunt down every violent person ...
    and humanely put them down.

    Funny or not,

your post just inspired a solution to a completely unrelated problem.

It just demonstrates how even the most random event can
be the next step of improvement.

    Thanks
