To be honest, No, I never wanted a tablet. I just ordered to support Jolla. For that reason I sold it to jakibaki to make one of our community members happy.

Yes, I find it very strange too. It’s like people want to talk about refunds. My two initial post could easily been my only posts in this thread.

That particular post was one of the more on topic posts in this thread, to get acTMO:er on the right track and and find the event..

Well, at first I decided to go, as my wife has in November free tickets to Helsinki cruise anyway. And she with pleasure goes to shopping at the time I'm sitting in cable factory

So a few news items from the stream:
(some may be already known, I didn't follow all news to the point)

The license model for devices like the Xperia X switched from yearly to per device, so once bought you can use sailfish with all updates till you destroy your phone.

All Xperia XA2 devices will be supported

Aliendalvik with Android 8.1 comes for the XA2 devices.
Eventually also for Xperia X

Sailfish X now has a free trial available in the jolla shop today!

What's the problem here? All other mobile OS and hardware are either US or Chinese controlled in some sense :-) Choose the better evil.

I think you are missing the point. Jolla consider it self as an Indipentent OS.

Who is adding the money and pulling the strings.

It should be up to the user to decide if you want to support it and more information is key.
