Even though a number below 4800 would have even had more wow factor

    Welcome to TMO mcdinner!
Happy to have you here, full functionality of this board will be "unlocked" once you posted 5 times.

Did you just become aware of this place (maybe via the F(x) flow of events) or can we say hello to another long time visitor?

    ahh, say no more

Would you be pleased with Android as only option for your Pro1 or are you anticipating any alternative OS ported to the device?

I use my phone for mail, texting, browsing and calendar (sometimes i use the phone app too ), so I would be fine with Android only. But if there is a more "Linux-ish" OS which is stable enough for daily use, I think I'd give it a try.

Finally got around to watching these, and just want to say that this re-affirms my decision to preorder the device.

Seeing this I really have to congratulate Chen, be it for his effort alone.

It's the details that do it. AMOLED screen, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage (EMMC, presumably), stereo-speakers on the side, 3.5mm (TLS) headphone jack, fingerprint reader that's not integrated into the power button, and of course the big wooping sliding keyboard. These specs makes me really enthusiastic for this device. It makes me feel like Chen & co really put the user first, instead of the other big phone producers who just seem to follow the hype.

I can imagine the hardware included in this devices could perform quite well in 'convergence' mode (connected to external display/keyboard/mouse) as well, especially when running Linux (LXDE anyone?). This combined with the above-mentioned perks could really make it a killer phone/computer
