Just out of interest, what does that mean? A typo for "just mown"? An Americanism meaning "just mown"? Or (as I suspect) "with snow just melted off"?

(Sorry, not trying to be funny or anything. Just slow.)

I agree, but cutting off the top half technically still gives you a good example of the "rule of thirds": now 2/3 is the harbour and 1/3 sky.

Absolutely. Nothing against the rule of thirds per se. It's when the rule of thirds is seen as the ultimate goal trumping anything else that I start asking questions

I asked a few colleagues who also attended that presentation and all their reactions were exactly the same as mine
In finland we have this word "puusilmä" which describes these people.
Usually attributed to football (and other team sports) referees who cannot see plain obvious things.

This one. (As I say on a multiple choice test when I've got no idea of the right answer: "C is for correct!") The blanket of snow had just melted + the ground itself had started to thaw out resulting in a very squishy surface. You can actually pretty clearly see the tracks left by a "gator" that I suppose a groundskeeper had driven across the grass.

The Dachstein last weekend in Austria. Still not melted down. "Still" not because of spring but rising temperatures due to climate change.
Phone: Xperia X, Sailfish OS, stock camera app.

EDIT: ... I don't get how to post an image uploaded on my nextcloud.

Thanks for all your cool local attractions!
I chime in to the architectural side of the topic which is not that hard to find here.

Only a good foot-walk away we have renaissance style Schloss Hülchrath from ~1100 which we visit often to picnic and chill.

It underwent 7 stages of construction you can spot with a schooled eye and has quite a moved history including drunk monks, lots of burning witches, raiding knights and last nazi resort.

Shot with XA2 and Piggz Advanced Camera.
Sadly HDR did not work so i did some leveling in Gimp.

Reminder, voting phase starts at 20 utc!

Oh no I missed that the deadline was 20:00 UTC.
Was far to busy with Pirate Party stuff this month.

Well no reason to keep my image from you.

Taken with my Nokia 808 , cropped and scaled down.

It was taken at the "Faschingskonzert der Studentenvertretung" in Munich. This an awesome concert near the end of carneval time, where young talents present their musical skills ins surprising ways while mocking current politics. Its always a great joy to watch.

My vote goes to mosen, the castle with its vines and the weeping willow looks like right out of a fairy tale
