IIRC, mosen had offered to host images if any of our users didn't have access to other alternatives. I didn't mention that when I made the contest announcement since I didn't want to commit him to that in perpetuity without his permission.

I'd either try lighting the "sushi-signal" or perhaps just pm-ing mosen to see if that deal was still good and how to work it.

What is going on the pic links here on TMO? Looks like a link removal . But only after some time frame.
I could click the original link from pentona and robthebold in their original post. Now they are vanished but pics are still available on their original link location via the quoted posts of these two.
Does it have to do with https://forumfiles.com?

another test with IMG tags and mosushi.de

and dumb address 'mosushi.de ... _...'

which makes it clear to me:
urls that are not recognized as pictures (however there are pics behind!) just get deleted silently

So for, at least forumfiles -and probably other hosting platforms-, you do need to give the 'end link' directly pointing to the pic!

It is literally no work to me since i just rightclick your attached image in my mailclient and save to mounted webspace. So the file you send to photocomp at mosushi de will be available under same filename at https://mosushi.de/misc/photocomp/... after i discover the email.
Since i am busier than i ever wanted it is wise to still use the shrinky tmo upload for direct result and send the email to me same time so you can edit your post after i notify of the upload (maybe much) later.
Practicallity 100
Instantaneity 0, lol.

But as peter stated, any image service will do if you quench a direct link out of their sad cryptic dynamic cloudy urls and post with IMG tag, right?

Seems like forumfiles changes the end link all the time so the image tags get invalidated...
