We seem to have a Gene Hackman theme going here. So I'd recommend No Way Out with Hackman, a young Kevin Costner and a Sean Young not too far removed from her Blade Runner role. Ignore the Maurice Jarre opening credits music -- it's a little too "80s made for TV". Just continue on to the feature, technically a remake of a Film Noir, "The Big Clock," itself based on a Roman Noir of the same title. A rare example of a remake better than both the original movie adaptation and the book.

But I have a whack of some of the best old distros...in my storage...

Wow! Thanks for that link! Never heard of that page. Too bad bodhi linux has abandoned the support for really old hardware and I have not even found the old images. They all need nowadays too much ram and images are over cd size.
Movies I have watched many many times: The Fifth Element.
I have a ton of good archived linux os's that don't exist anymore but are still great to use...
Just use the software and versions meant for it...
and don't use it online..

With literally all the current interesting series coming to a close this year...
We just finished the Marvel epic ending with EndGame.
Game of Thrones concludes tomorrow night.
Mr. Robot, The Man in the High Castle, The Preacher, and a couple of others all end this autumn ...
The outlook on captivating current series looks fairly bleak after this autumn.
Just finished seeing the latest John Wick ....which didn't disappoint....
But it will be years before the next instalment...
So I pulled out some classics by Terry Nation ...who did a ton of good stuff for the BBC...
Including Children of the Stones, and other such delicacies, including some of the old Doctor Who series...
So right now I am watching Survivors (circa 1975) series...about a plague accidentally let loose on the world...that reduces the global population rather severely...

Well, I hope he is well. Sad if he was banned and does not have the freedom to appear here. Of course he could have gotten bored with the whole thing and left. Countdowns can be somewhat existential in nature. Waiting for something amazing to happen, as is often the case here, especially with all the disappointments can be difficult... Maybe he will pop up and Make Maemo Great Again!
