It wasn't an outright banning this time...
He was threatened with a ban...
And he decided enough was enough.
I think just keeping the home fire lit here in The Final Countdown, chatting on various topics is enough.
Hopefully he comes back..
But it would be just too depressing to countdown when or if ...he returns.
I believe you have misrepresented endormeans thinking about Dave999's absence from maemo! On the other hand, maybe you are baiting him to return! Bad boy pichlo!
Well Dave may not be here in the flesh...but is in spirit...
So by proxy...
What the hell was up with the conclusion...hell ...the last two instalments...that finished Game of Thrones?!?!?!
For sure aliens must be involved...
no one on this planet wanted to screw with a good story.

"klaatu barada nikto"
So are you saying the absence of Dave999 is like the world staying still. Are you reaching out to him by saying "klaatu barada nikto"[?
Nope....
not saying the world is staying still...
But the final countdown has been awful quiet for a while...
(also I just wanted to poke pichlo in the ribs )

No, not really. See the post I quoted. I replied before I even noticed the follow-ups where Dave was first mentioned.
I was making a genuine observation of how civil TMO has become (again, thankfully!) without Dave's provocative disruptions. Not that he was the only one: there were a few others, feeding each other.

Hi. I have no problem with you having an honest opinion. But you should quote someone that has the same feeling about the topic if you are going to say you have similar feelings!
Edit: Ok. I will accept you were taking a segment of his sentence to make a point, in a clever fashion, that it counter to the opinion of original author.
That's how it works, mscion. By quoting a sentence you make it clear that your post is an answer to that sentence. Not necessarily to the whole post.
If I reply to the (spirit of) the whole post, I make it clear. Either I quote in its entirety if it is short enough (quite difficult with endo's essays) or I use the ellipsis, or add something like "etc".
Quoting a sentence without a full context is just that: a sentence without a context.
