hmm , i install today the play store without any problems. i follow the instruction from tjc link on the first thread. Only one thing, that i send over terminal two times the command line to install Phonesky.apk, nothing more.
I have installed Google Play and it works as also every app I have downloaded from Play store. Anyway Google Maps and Hotels.com icons won't appear on desktop. I have copied icons from Jolla phone to var/lip/apkd but that didn't change anything. What else should I do? Those apps start from Play Store just fine but I would really like to have also icons on desktop...

Revived jtab from the "back of the shelf".
I have problems wih browsers, chrome and firefox based shows black screen. I have found info about disabling gpu. But.. As the settings sc reen is black , not able to do. Using switch -disable-gpu in android How.?
I found the file Local state where the setting should be, but no success. I changed hw acceleraion to false w/o impact. Next I deleted the whole file , no impact.
Would installing google services help? I remember that with jolla1 some things started to work better with Gservices installed bec ause some libraries got updated, even though the gservices itself were not needed for those softwares.
