I am wondering if it is common for the n800 to have a losse headphone port or if mine has a defect. What do I mean by loose? Well a standard jack won't go all the way in and if you turn it, it pops out. I am debating about returning it but I just wanted to make sure this wasn't normal before I did.

Well, when I first got mine, the headphones that came with my n800 (it has a microphone too, but the jack is the same size) would only go in about halfway, and kind popped out like yours. I eased it in a little harder and it popped into place. It's been working normal ever since.

Now, I'm not advising that you ram it in there...I'm not sure that we even had the same problem. Just don't do anything too harsh. If you're really worried about it though, I would take it back; it doesn't sound "normal" to me.
