If i remember correctly was it that in Portugal (or some other country) they decriminalized the use (and maybe possession of small amount) of those harder drugs and instead of giving fees or convictions or jail they have forwarded people to get help. There were other big benefits on the streets when people did not have to be afraid of the mere use and didn't get a burning mark to the end of their lives if caught (as it is in Finland even of using cannabis which straight closes many doors in life). So I think the reasoning for decriminalizing is something like that: to help users and to free resources to catch the dealers. It has been going on all around the world that they have rethought the drugg policy cause the current one hasn't been a success but has many counter effects and on the other hand where drugs (the use and small amounts) have been decriminalized the effects have been good in many ways.
Good arguments. Personally I do not believe that will be beneficial overall long term. Help is great but these drugs are to addictive, too destructive. But we will see. Great to test out and evealute, maybe the next step is increase the amount of drugs. I might be wrong. You dont get less violence by allowing everyone to have 1 gun. More guns would be available in the streets with bad outcomes. If we want less of something we dont want more of it. But now we are talking policy in the borderland to politics and thats not allowed. Lets focus on the election.

This is a question of "normal" politics vs. brains-fried-by-TV-and-social-media craziness.
I am for "normal" politics, flawed as it may be.
In other words, I'm not getting my hopes up that Biden/Harris will transform the USA into a blooming paradise, but I am glad of the signal this sends to all the populist idiots worldwide who think they can abuse the democratic system to play the masses & boost their egos, and get away with calling that politics.
Getting rid of Orange Blob was crucial. Like turning off the gas when your house is on fire. But it is nowhere near enough to put the fire out.
My biggest fear is that whoever comes after Tangerine will repeat what worked whilst avoiding the mistakes. The victim complex from losing WW1 helped the mustached guy too.
Will this actually mean anything domestic? How well do the two parties actually work together. But it will be better with US at the table backing the work within WHO and climate deals.
The media doesn't decide the winners. Not that I don't think he will win. Just that I'm not aware who is running the show at the moment. Aliens are involved for sure.
The court will decide if the votes correct and if tjey want to throw out counted votes. Will most likley not happen in all of the 4 or five states but it will be decided first before anyone can say biden is the winner.
