    search dbus-switchboard.

    If anyone is intrested, I will release the files I used for making mytube use mplayer24 rather than 26.

    But its only for advanced users, with each upgrade of mytube, it will be made useless unless you can (and know) how to edit the file.

    Yes, I think I'd like the files please Just curious - what improvement does one see using myTube v9 + mPlayer v24? I've been watching some YouTube videos using myTube v9 + mPlayer v26 and haven't noticed any problems. I guess if I had one request it would be for the videos to start with the black background in full screen automatically.

    BTW - anyone know how to control volume for myTube once the video has started playing? Thanks!

    Ok, I'll post them up and edit.

    I can't find the tar file I modified . For anyone intrested, I hexedited mplayer exec to point to mplay24 rather than etc/mplayer and edited the stream.py to run mplay24 instead.

    I tried out .24 because its recommended by iancumihai on the site and IMHO flv lipsynching is better than .26.

    On my N800, the volume buttons at the top work. Failing that, you can press menu button and go into settings and adjust volume from there.

    Definitely one of the best apps for my N800. But I miss some features, like "today", "this week" or "this month" for the top viewed and top rated.

    Been out of town for about five weeks and trying to catch up so please be kind. I downloaded ver. 09 and the python- gdata deb and everything installed fine. Nothing in the middle section. When I click on the middle section a blue highlighted area appears and eventually youtube via mplayer. Nothing like working blind. I am using OS 2007 on my N800. I have checked other posts but haven't come across a fix. Advice? Thanks. BTW, killer app!

    great app. something that actually works! BUT.... i always choose the option to play the video. after checking in file manager i found all the videos had downloaded and were stored in mplayer and i was fast running out of space on my memory card. or am i missing somethin here. am no it genius! can always delete the ones i dont like in file manager but they do have weird file no's and not named videos,so its going to be quite a slog! but its great! and the more i use it the the more you get addicted to the thing! i'll have to get a mega sdhc card and create my archive of music! thanx!

    the latest version have a delete button. just go to the apps main screen, but the saved button on the right side, then find the ones you dont want to keep and hit delete...

    Just thought I'd post my findings using myTube and mPlayer v26... I know that other have posted that they are having better luck with the lipsyncing issue using mPlayer v24. I did finally try out that version of mPlayer using myTube and have determined that for my set-up I actually get very near perfect lipsyncing if I use mPlayer v26 and edit the /home/user/.mplayer/config file by adding:

    ao=sdl
    delay=0.2

    BTW - thanks to Serge for the fix in the mplayer thread.

    Also thanks a bunch again for making this app!! It's great!!
