Update: It appears it works, i tried another AIM account.
Maybe it was the proxy settings. I turned that off in gaim, now it works ^^

maemo-gaim tells me that it needs an ssl library in order to login to msn messenger, I don't see anything like that in the repo

what is a repository? and how do i add one? sorry if this is basic.
I noticed that when I added this:
Repository : http://repository.maemo.org
Distribution : mistral-beta
Component : free
to the package manager, gaim-beta shows up!!
I thought "alright, that didn't take long!"
But when i install and run it... my AIM account says incorrrect password...
I know it's not incorrect... so this gaim must not be working yet...
