Arguing about the poll is stupid, anyway. Why not waste time discussing platforms instead?
I take his point as saying that if the "I hate" options had been omitted, and replaced with a richer set of realistic options, the poll would be more palatable. I have to agree. I hate hateful options.

Well I used Hate, I originally was going to use Loathe. Because really thats what it is for me. I was just interested in the opinion, its in off topic. Should I have chosen more elequent words? I really think it is a valid thread.

If you love put you love, if you hate, put you hate, if you niether love nor hate, then don't choose that you love or hate? Seriously, love/hate/niether what other option should I have used? The thread also exists for you to clarify any poll option you may choose.

The question is "Which do you prefer" Why is it not OK to hate a company, product? I also hate SUN and HP, and google is moving up the list. Just because I hate a product, or company, does not mean I hate people who use this product.

Its funny to me that this has become so darn personal for eveyone. I love Linux, lots of people don't, thats OK, and does not make me mad. I also love Cantonese and Lebanese food. I love my tablet. I hated my old Nokia 6682. I hate it when I am cut off in traffic. I hate car sales people (sorry if any in here). Quite honestly I hate most sales people. I hate, hate crimes. I love freedom of speech!

Don't hate the hater!!

I switched from windows to linux about half a year ago, because I dislike Vista. But why 'hate' an OS? It is not like you're is forced to use a particular OS is it? The only software I hated was some of the custom built usability-nightmare apps that I had to use at previous jobs.

As far as hating an OS, I think people tend to more dislike the company and its practices. I think you can hate an OS, did you ever install Windows Me?

Doesn't seem as bad now, but for a while (especially around the 4th iPod and iPhone launch) it was irritating. I went to a mac show in london, which I had been to many times before, and it was all iPods. I didn't go the following year.

A public poll ?????

Be advised that this is a public poll: other users can see the choice(s) you selected.
Let me think :

The web is an electronic billboard. ?

Or checked by the Pentagon ? (well... controlled .. .OK)

Or checked by Lawyers ?

Or Multiple Choice Whatever.

Or Recently Joined TabletBlog in Amsterdam ?

Just to be serious: the ITT polls provide a lot of fun: I love it.

Abel: As always: have fun.

Quite often a new market comes out of nowhere when absolutely nobody was expecting it, and companies try to ride its coat tails as best they can. Manufacturers spit out lots of new products, but no one is quite sure which one of them will actually be a long term success. I think it was Douglas Adams who described the future as "we've got all the ingredients but we just don't know what we're cooking yet".

The enormous massive billion dollar success of text messaging for example was completely unpredicted by users, manufacturers or phone networks, it just emerged without any hype at all. Mobile phone makers included it as an afterthought, and certainly didn't anticipate it would become a central feature alongside voice.

As the old Hollywood saying goes, "nobody knows nothin!"
