updating from older version of OS2008

ok i have followed the directions from http://maemo.org/community/wiki/HOWT...027f479f3935c8

i get to

* PC: Execute as root (or as a normal user with rights to use the USB port):

./flasher-3.0 -F RX-44_2008SE_1.2007.42-18_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R

* PC: "Suitable USB device not found, waiting" is displayed on the console

im using ubuntu and i execute the ./flasher and nothing happens.

sudo: ./flasher-3.0: command not found

please help. what am i doing wrong.

is it easer to update using window or linux. i would prefer to use linux because i hate having to switch to windows.
