    BAH!!!!

One of the things that was better about the N810 over the N800 is that it had a FLAT back, not a bulged back.

Yup. I _SO_ want a black N900 without a WWAN radio, and a Personal-Hot-Spot type companion device for the Wifi<->WWAN access. Hunchbacks are for whales and bell-ringers, not tablet computers.

Um, why does the back bother people? I really don't get it. If you lay it flat on a table, it seems a little elevation helps anyhow, and I can't see how else it matters.

I'm trying to decide if I'd rather have the entire tablet be 2mm thicker... ;-)

I _DO_ wish we could get all black N810's Non-WIMAX Editions though. With symbols in blue instead of amber. (black and blue! could called "N810 bruiser edition" ;-) )

So, how soon before we see variations of the N810 with UMTS and EVDO? :-)

true. this will be nice. but i think it was already assumed when he posted that blog entry. or, he may have been refering to the new mail client. maybe i'm being too optimistic, but i still think skype video.

Interesting thing in the interview with Urho Konttori: http://www.nseries.com/index.html#l=...p,articles,414

Desktop now supports the same Web Runtime (WRT) technology as the latest N95 update etc. Cross-polination from the more established, well-known and marketed communities should be interesting.

Eh, we're not at release yet. Q2 still has almost 3 months remaining.

Personally, I think Modest will be a good basis for judging how close we are to release.

Yeah, the bulge isn't that bad at all.

I wonder you will be able to get the tablet at a discount if you sign up for service with XOHM, similar to cell phones.

That could be one reason for not releasing the price yet, and also the fact that they say they will only be available in areas where WiMAX is available.
There won't be any device subsidies with Xohm. You'll have to pay full price for any WiMax devices but the trade off is that Xohm won't have contracts.

I've had the bulge in my hands and it actually makes holding the device easier. Just try putting your hands to the location of the bulge of your non-bungy n810 and you'll see that the fingers kind of miss some support. The bulge is quite small, but supports the fingers quite well.

Wonder if my (currently unused) N810 developer discount would work on this tablet as well.

Yeah, yeah.... a guy can dream, can't he?
