    Bravo! Bravo!

    It's beautiful!

The Walkaround Web is launched by Nokia and Sprint - everything you do that can be enhanced by access to Information Resources and People is about to get easier, and more fun, too!

This N810 WiMAX Edition already belongs in a Museum of Modern Trends - a truly pocketable, elegantly designed, State of the Art device that pulls together the Library at Alexandria, the Chinese Waterclock, Gutenberg's Printing Press, the Telephone, the Typewriter, the Computer, the Television, the Internet and Blogging, too!

Always on, always connected, the Web, GPS, Geo-tagged Maps, Video/VoIP Calls, eBooks, Music and so much more! More than a Personal Lifestyle accessory - a working prototype Life accessory!

We're always going to want more - faster, better, cheaper - but the N810 WME is likely to go down as the first device, imvho, to empower the Social Potential of the Walkaround Web - a device worthy of the Age of Community!

Congratulations, again, to Nokia, and to this great Community at itT who have helped make it possible, too!

Where will you find WiMAX? Alex Vorn at World of Gadgets cites these locales in 2008: Baltimore, Washington DC and Chicago (with Boston “soon” and New York after that).

Btw, he includes a nice photo (from Jon Snyder at Wired) showing the 2mm bulge:

In general it's not advisable to shield antennas.

True, but it often doesn't matter with WiFi at least. A stray finger usually doesn't make any consistent difference I can see, even when my connection is dodgy.

The kickstand is perfect for holding and elevating the device.
So if you're going to make excuses for the bulge, you should probably stick with
"it's not that big" or "I can deal with the bulge if I get WiMax".

Well, it's not easy to find, but it's in the product name in the URL. If you go to http://www.nseries.com/index.html and click on the big N810 WiMAX Edition image, then it takes you to this URL:

    http://www.nseries.com/index.html#l=products,n810_wme

So it seems that N810 WME is the official acronym.

Or ”Who cares” or “Props it up so I can read better“, but not grippity; your fingers are flexible for a reason...

Yes, while Q2 may mean any day now it reality it may be just before all developers take vacation in July ;-) Only euchreprof would tell us exact date.

Also it is puzzling that I still can't find any new RX-?? device at FCC site so how come that almost ordinary people have it in their hands right now?
