Ok here it goes, basically i have been wanting to get a tablet this year. Before the start of 2009 but i still would like my tablet to be usable in 2009.
I have been thinking about getting an IT or an MID. And MIDs are way more expensive but then again could be crappy since its a whole new gen of devices. I just want to have something in my pocket that i could take anywhere and I'm planning to travel around a bit so my ideal device would be something like this at the basics:
Ideal device basics:
*Touch screen
*wi-fi and Bluetooth
*Linux type OS instead of Mac or Windows
*Camera ( Webcam and picture shots)
*Microphone
* Slide out keyboard
* built in WWAN or Attachable WWAN usb device
I like the idea of GPS but i don't like the idea of being monitored by satellites too much. I also don't want to have to pay for all the features, like the n810's GPS.
ya, Basically I have been thinking about the n810WE and am worried since i have to wait till summer and i thought it was going to launch in April, damn, also since a supposed "n900" device is coming in Q3/Q4 of 2008 I am confused on when to get a device and that is screwing with my travel plans. I don't think summer is too far away, like what? June/July? So i could still Work and save up some money for it but then it might be outdated by then with all kinds of things coming in 2009.
n810, n810WE, n900, or MID? (for an MID I was like thinking maybe OQO 02, whether its an umpc/mid w/e but its like $2000!)
I want something under the $500 range.
Does anyone have an idea how much the n810WE will cost?
+ Does anyone know if the Sprint WiMAX service requires a contract?
I know, lots of questions but I would appreciate the help.
