I did a search but couldn't find anything about .nzb files and the n8x0. I'm not much of a programmer but does anyone think porting hellanzb would be difficult? Hellanzb is a terminal based app to download newsgroup files. I figured people wanted torrents on their n8x0's so why not .nzb's.
I'm interested in this as well. I know there are newsgroup readers for maemo, but not for binaries as far as I know. Anyone here who can prove me wrong? I'd love that
Considering how intensive downloading and decoding from Usenet can be, I'm not sure I see the point. Of course, I didn't see the point of torrents either and there seems to be people that want/like that.

Being able to cut the computer out of the use of the device as much as possible is particularly useful when you're on the road or somewhere without easy/fast/polite access to real machine (MicroB -> Transmission -> mplayer—I mean, c'mon now ).
What's more interesting is using it as a low-power. My desktop machine certainly isn't any sort of efficient, so using a couple watts (if that) to run a download overnight is certainly a more appealing idea. Well, would be, anyway if I had a server to run irssi on and no DVR. Still, the less (or, perhaps, more conveniently ) connected among you may find use for the idea.
