Hi, I have read these pages and was wondering how likely it would be to easily get a port of Android running.

    http://etrunko.blogspot.com/2008/04/...g-on-n810.html
    http://groups.google.com/group/andro...56f431d3eb1e57
    http://elinux.org/Android_on_OMAP

So it seems to be possible, but is there a better way of running it?

I'm definitely interested in this as well, unfortunately, I'm a hardware guy, not a coder...

Would a hardware keyboard be necessary? I don't see N800 mentioned

in android? there is but it's really flakey, even on the zaurus where people have been putting a lot of effort into making android run correctly. I predict we'll see a flurry of activity around android when Google releases the rest of the source.

This would be an awesome dual or triple boot option with Maemo/Kde/Android.

I have an N800 now, but since Android doesn't support touchscreens, I would upgrade to a N810 as soon as this becomes available.

I'm using the Apple Bluetooth kbrd (A1255 not the big one) on my N800. Pairing was cantankerous but after that it works great. The keyboard is small but just large enough to touch type on. Looking forward to Android.

I got it used for around $60 from: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000V01RLK
