Im trying to update the firmware and i can't get the product id number from under the battery. Is there some special way to get the battery out ( besides just trying to pull it out)?

just pry lightly

you can also run "ifconfig wlan0" as root inside xterm

It is your HWaddr, just take out the colons

DE:AD:BE:EF:12:34 = DEADBEEF1234

Instead of getting the "product id" from there, try going to Control Panel, click Device, switch to the About Product tab, and the number you want is the WLAN MAC address. I assume you're trying to download the 2006 beta, because thats what asked me for my product id, which is the same as the MAC address.

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone!
