Is it really the battery which just switched over to "degrade" mode overnight, or some app I installed (rdesktop / omWeather new version etc) which might be the culprit here ?

I've been testing battery life while running a specific application, and I can get 24-26 hours of use on a full battery charge with a new N800.
However, with a unit that's 3-4 months old, with fairly heavy use during that period, the battery life running the same application is maybe only 12-14 hours.
I realize different applications tax the N800 differently - I'm more interested in how quickly the battery seemed to degrade.
Is this pretty typical wear on the battery?
Thanks in advance!
