Hello,

I set a wrong value somewhere and now my N800 keeps shutting down on reboot.

I start up bootmenu and start up usb networking.

I modprobe usbnet and try and get this:
faheem@faheem-desktop:~$ telnet 192.168.2.15
Trying 192.168.2.15...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused
faheem@faheem-desktop:~$ ssh 192.168.2.15
ssh: connect to host 192.168.2.15 port 22: Connection refused

Yes the ip is right. All I need to do is to change one line back so why should I reflash ?

Sorry, I phrased it wrong.

My device isn't crashing and being rebooted by watchdog, it's being shut down by dsme/mce. (the blue light comes on)

I looked in some init scripts and dsmetool runs some boot programs with the condition that if it is closed, the device will shut down. One of the programs didn't like my change and is refusing to start so dsme is shutting down my N800 because that program didn't start

If I could only get telnet, I could mount my rootfs and vi the change back. But all I keep getting is connection refused. Anyone know a livecd with usbnet module?

It's my initfs that is messing up.

If anyone has used usb networking successfully via initfs and still have their initfs_flasher folder, could you please send me the initfs.bootmenu.jffs2? (From a N800/N810 )

But alas my N800 is going under the reflash. as my computer still will not connect. Something must be wrong on this side but I don't have the time to debug it.
