I was trying to watch a product review on cnet.com and noticed my N800 stutter badly. I let the video "load up" before playing it, but that didn't solve the problem. What is causing this? Lack of memory? Slow processor speed? Am I expecting too much from the N800?

N800, OS2008, default web browser

You might be expecting too much. The default web browser works very well with youtube and googlevideo and other sites with flash video are somewhat hit or miss. I usually stick to those two sites.

Yes, Veoh runs well too. You just can't always expect too much though. I think it's mainly due to processer speed.

what format of videos are you trying to play from cnet? I have tried subscribing to various cnet video podcasts and both media player and mplayer seem to have problems with playing them smoothly.

It seems the poster was trying to run the streaming flash videos...he refers to letting it all "load up" before playing.

The cnet video stutters because there is too much other flash advertising being served on the page. you might want to try flashblock
