nope , the basic free yahoomail doesnt provide POP access...however , Gmail does offer it for free , so you might consider switching , there are a few other decent free POP email providers... i use lavabit.com

So what are the settings for gmail? I tried it and failed on mine.
Both incoming and outgoing require SSL to be checked , Outgoing requires login authentication. i think thats it , check help on gmail.coms page in case i forgot anything. if you use the modest email client it fills in all the appropriate settings for you and all you have to do is enter your username and password and such
I actually have the yahoo plus account, but doesn't work either. I have tried to configure the email client with the new diablo update, but I get invalid email password errors.
l use gmail and yahoo as my mail provider here is my settings for pop on my tablet free yahoomail.

incoming ; pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk
out going ; smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk
port for pop 110
outgoing SSL port 465
i send and recieve my mails allright no problems so far,
this settings were done with the account settings wizard.
