Awesome it now works for me after updating, I was wondering about the update that I installed this morning because it was <500kb. Anyway I had forgotten how much I love having modest as my email client for Gmail over using the web browser over the last week.
I see now what brontide mentions... the unknown certificate prompt pops up at launch (3 popups for 3 imap accts).
I had this problem for a while a month or two ago... at that time I fixed by deleting all accts, .modest directories, .camel_certs, and fresh reinstall. Will have to try that again.
........
edit - hmmm, the unknown certificate prompt problem, while persistent <sp> the first 1/2 of day seems to have gone away on it's own. My daemon does have a mind of its own
Not sure whether to file this as a bug or feature request at modest.org:
The "Download Content" menu item should be ENABLED when selecting multiple messages even if one of the messages are already downloaded. Right now, if ANY message in the selection is downloaded, then "Download Content" gets disabled. I then have the frustratingly pointless exercise of downloading one message at a time in order to read mail on the bus.
I should be able to "select all" followed by "download content" so I can do some offline reading of my inbox. Claws mail is champion for offline use, but Modest will be good enough if I can at least get the Inbox with a couple clicks.
A couple of Modest user questions (or rather questions about Modest from a user, or maybe a user asking questions Modest-ly, ... ).
Is there any way to set a default SMTP server that would be applied to all the connections? Or possibly a way to copy the settings from one SMTP Account to another?
Is there any Modest manual or FAQ posted anywhere? (google search didn't come up with much).
