On or around 15 April, 2008, I noticed that my Nokia N810 browser speed dropped substantially on all WiFi connections, and, more importantly all of my oft-visited web pages revealed chaotic display. Enlarge/Magnification toggle to above 100% display only worsens the problem. I have installed no new software, or OS 2008 builds. The device was flashed sometime in early March with the latest OS2008 build, which I believe is v. 2.2007.51-3.

Examples of web pages now in chaotic-display: Yahoo Finance, Bloomberg.com.

TIA for any suggestions or comments. I have been a heavy user of this device since early January. I thought/think I know it's guts and ins/outs--but perhaps not.

check to see if you have the "fit width to screen" option check. that option is a performance killer

Thankyou. The Fit to Width option was checked. I assume this was somehow selected by accident, or, triggered by another program/webpage etc--as this option had never been selected before.

My problems now appear to be solved, having de-selected this. This is funny, because every trouble-shoot I have done with this device, from RSS to the OS2008 flash and backup, to other file problems has been so much more involved. Thankyou. Ironic.
