My main got-to-have apps for OS 2008:
- Evince (reading ebooks - pdf, djvu)
- Basilisk II (running many Macintosh programs)
- TiEmu 2 (like having my TI 89 Titanium on my N800)
- UKMP (for playing music, and listening to podcasts/lectures)
- Media Player (For watching my converted DVD movies)

I run the OS
I run 24/7 osso-statusbar-cpu
I run frequently battery-status
the built in browser and note and email
maemopad+ is essential
gnumeric is vital
