    Hello,

i hope someone can help me.

I used my NIT as an alarmclock for a while now. About three days ago the alarm stopped working. It just do nothing when the time to ring arrived. No sound and message nothing.

I thought, i broke something while trying diffrent programms, so i reflashed the os and tried it without any additional installation.

    Still does not work.

I checked the sound. Sound is enabled and the diffrent soundfiles are working fine.
The System sounds are enabled too.
I checked th clock. Runs too. Even if i power the device of and turn it on later, i showes the correct time.
I read the tutorial on tabletschool again, to make sure i didn't miss something.
    Doesn't help.

So someone an idea, what could be wrong? Or how to fix this?

    Thanks for the help,
    Eismaus

Hmm... mysterious! I was going to suggest reflashing but you've already done that.

Are you sure the date is correct on each alarm?

So it worked absolutely fine before, and then it suddenly stopped working? And you aren't running any apps in the background when you've tried the alarm again?

Are there any other problems with the tablet, or is this the only one?

Run dmesg and see if it says anything about alarmd, mce and dsme.

    Hello, thanks for your sugestions.

@qwery I tried that, and it doesn't show anything about that.

@Krisse this is the only problem. And after the reflash i haven't installed anything to make sure it isn't a third party problem.

I haven't restored a backup at will, but realiesed that it must have done something like this, because the nit worked in our company network without a resetup of the settings.

So i try another reflash without insert sd cards in the evening.

    Thanks again.

Let us know how it goes. If the problem carries on, it might be worth reporting on Bugzilla.

    Hi.
i reflashed again over the weekend. Alarm didn't work. Later W-Lan stopped working and then the whole tablet quit work..
I just called amazone and they told me to send it back..
So the alarm was just the beginning i think.

    Thanks for the help.

That does sound like a defective tablet, sending it back is the best option in those circumstances. There's no way it could have been fixed if the hardware was broken.

Hope the replacement arrives soon! :-)
