But if your only interested in menu key, install current package here :

ydant - thanks for the input. I did open port 3389 and have the following in my router settings (under Access, virtual server):
RD1 TCP 3389/3389 I/P address
RD2 UDP 3389/3389 I/P address

I set this according to instructions at:
http://portforward.com/english/route...te_Desktop.htm

Regarding security concerns, I have only allowed specific MAC addresses access to my PC but I'm now wondering if opening this port bypasses this security measure?
Thanks again!!

Have you tried connecting to the 'public' ip adress while at home?

What kind of 'other access points' are you using? cell phone dialup? public library wifi? friends house wifi?

pipeline,
I presume by 'public' you mean the IP address reported by typical 'my IP address' sites? If so, no I hadn't thought of checking that. What should I expect?

I have tried at work but we are behind a firewall that I presume will stop me (read something about certificates but it was over my head), also tried at our church building where i can easily access internet but it also locks up and times out.

After seeing your earlier post (quoted by cashless) I thought I'd try that version of rDesktop so I uninstalled v0.4 and tried to install yours and it reported 0kb and failed to install (tried directly from installer and from a copy on my SD card). I haven't put 0.4 back on as it appers your package is much more stable. I don't have a great knowledge on neworking, generally just try to research thoroughly and follow instructions.

I think I need to get your version properly installed and then I can experiment a bit more. Thanks to you (and all) who put so much effort into helping others.

Pipeline, first of all, thanks!
Now, do you think there's a way to run the command line version in a res higher than 800x480? I need 800x600 for a single misbehaving app on my windows box. -g 800x600 kinda works, but there are no scroll bars to move around, and -f forces the remote res at the native one, so no dice. The best would be something like a combined -f and -g, full screen with some kind of scrolling (scroll keys would do, instead of cursor control, if cursor can still be controlled from a BT keyboard), am I asking for too much?

Yes Pipeline - Thanks!

Is there any way to scroll around a screen which is larger than 800x480? Anyone?

Thanks!
