My mplayer report, say tearsync is enabled. That is why I am questioning about that. I am reading the report from mplayer .27, after playing a clip via xterm, the report said tearsync is enabled. And I can turn it on and off and ther report reportedly so. I am kind of at a lost....
Yesterday I noticed terrible distortion (like overdriving amplifier to clipping) when playing MP3 songs using Mediabox (mplayer engine). It didn't help if I turned down the volume on system volume bar, or in Mediabox itself. This was on a N800 having Diablo.
I didn't try Canola yet, or my N810 with Diablo... but will try later this weekend.
only in /etc/mplayer/mplayer.conf and run a video through the command line. If mplayer enables tearsync, then you have it. Also tearsync is only working for omapfb, so Canola doesn't use it.
I was able to install mplayer.27 on my 770 running 2008he. I tried to run it, it said loading....but no action. And I have to run off to work....on a beautiful sunny lazy Saturday morning. What a life, I mean, do I have a life?
On a side note, there is a lot of goodies on 2008he. Everything that comes with 2008 is there, except NaviMaps. So obviously I would try to use 2008 if possible. For the mean time, the biggest draw back I can see, is crashing on web browsing and system runs kind of slow. I will see whether I can put up with this in exchange for BT/shared folders/xterm etc than bundled with 2008.
