I'm trying to pair the hp bluetooth mouse and have not had any success yet.
Does anybody know, if there is a special code that will work. In the manual they explain how to manually pair in windows and it talks about turing the key off. I don't think that is possible on the n810.
Any idea?
and installed:
apt-get install bluez-utils-test
apt-get install screen
than I opened up a terminal window and typed in as root
"hidd --search"
and it found the mouse.
Now under the connected bluetooth devices the mouse shows up.
when I go to the settings window under devices it is not there. So I'm not sure if I really connected the right way.
Under kde I can't use the mouse.
How can I test if the mouse acutally is connected?
Pairing is easy - but that is only the bluetooth equivalent to plugging in a USB cable, and in computers a cable alone rarely ever makes a device work. IIRC neither the kernel nor the X server are set up to use a mouse.
