Hi - I've come across a few websites where Macromedia or Java are needed to view streaming video or navigate a website. There's always a link on the page to "download for Linux", however, once I download the file the 770 doesn't recognize it.

I tried to install Adobe Flash Player and the file saved as:

install_flash_player_7_linux.tar.gz

I either get an "unrecognized file type error" or under the Application Installer menu, the file doesn't even show up.

Any help would be appreciated---what am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

The 770 comes with a Flash 6 built in. Unfortunately thats the best you can do at this point. That binary install file is for x86 only (meaning it will only work on intel/amd machines). If you google around or search these forums you will find that the availability of only flash 6 for the 770 and only flash 7 for linux in general is a major sore spot for most of us.
