I think the browser FTP functionality is great, but have anyone figured out how you can actually download the files in the ftp source drive? I can launch them directly into the browser, but I miss the "Save Link As" button, which will enable me to save the file to my 770.
LOL, does anyone realize that the browser supports ftp. Just type FTP://[URL or IP Address]
Sure I know that and I bet you would not find even one modern browser that does not support ftp download. Even Safari is able to download from ftp-sources ;-)
I've ported the MaemoFTP now also for the 2006 edition. The port to 2006 was done quite quickly, and contains only one bugfix (a one that didn't occur in the 2005 versioni, at least very often). Maybe introduces some new bugs, though I hope not.

I just downloaded it and tried it--when it came up, it found the old (IT2005 version) bookmark to my desktop. When I tried to connect, it bombed by just returning to home. I rebooted, same thing. I then tried to delete the old BM and it would not let me. So then I created a new one, same name, same parameters. This time I caught a glimpse of the remote file system being loaded to the window before it bombed.
My guess is that the old BM file(s) are squirreling it up. Where do I need to go to clear those out?
I created a bookmark (ftp.cdrom.com) and tried to connect... the bookmark window remained open, the connect statusbar was animated, and it crashed there like it was in an infinite loop. The only thing that worked was the power button. Could've been a freak thing, I'll try again later.
I also tried it connecting to a Windows XP PC from an app called Bulletproof FTP server.
It would connect then go thru the password routine, then go to the default directory and then crash. I restarted the 770 just to make sure it wasn't a memory issue. Once again it crashed.
This application looks great, just a tweak or two more and I think this will be ready for prime time.
FinTux Thanks for all your efforts!
Forgot to mention that I didn't have old Bookmarks to squirrel up the program like another user mentioned.
