I installed Chinese recognition from this site:

The instructions said to install something called "matchbox keyboard" after installation and rebooting, otherwise the keyboard wont' be enabled.

But after I installed the matchbox keyboard, my keyboard is enabled again, yes, but the keyboard changed and it won't let me go into full-finger mode anymore, which is really annoying.

Someone help?

You can't. Full finger is part of the hildon-input-method. By installing CJK, you forfeit the luxury that is the hildon-input-method.

And no, you can't install the hildon-input-method with the CJK. If all you need is to be able to read pages with Chinese on it, Diablo contains a Chinese font with it. (when diablo comes out that is)

Now is there someway to uninstall CJK? I considered, and I think a full-finger keyboard outweighs being able to read Chinese...

or you can just remove scim related things, leaving the fonts installed.
that's how i did with maemocjk for japanese, after finding out the problems regarding sticky keys. of course now i cannot enter japanese characters any more :-(, but it doesn't matter much for me.
