I've been attempting to discover the bus width and clock speed of the 128 MB of DDR memory in the Nokia N800 / N810. This information does not seem to be published in any of the PR material for the N800 or the TI OMAP 2420 applications processor inside.

I am considering development on an N800 / N810 because of it's similar HW feature set to another product but I have no comparative information for the speed of main memory access.

Does anyone have this information or can we infer this information from memory benchmarks posted for the N800 / N810? Also does anyone know of a method to change the DDR memory clock frequency?

Here is my research thus far:

According to this article (in Japanese) the N800 uses a Samsung PoP (Package on Package) memory chip with integrated 128 MB DDR RAM and 256 MB flash. Serial number is KBN00V00CM-D425.

In this powerpoint presentation on page 13 the TI OMAP 2420 is benchmarked using a 133MHz x 32-bit DDR memory configuration.

In this PDF document from TI, page 19 states the OMAP 2420's DDR clock is configured for 166MHz with no mention of bus-width.

Thanks all.

The answer is in the kernel. Check the source code, the part about dvfs and scale.S

But as I wrote in another post, a bug related to memory timing was fixed in Diablo - you should wait for the code to be released.

To give you some info, the memory in your tablet is clocked at 133MHz.
