the reasons, bc i can chat and send free sms to all my friends from yahoo and msn messenges, I download pidgin, but doesn't has sms.

Hmm, interesting, it doesn't load.

It ought to load, it just needs Flash 9 and Mozilla which the tablets have, but it doesn't work.

Anyone got any suggestions?

You might look at googletalk as you can video to other N8x0 as well as sms, mail, voice...etc...igoogle/gmail/cal

Well, I thought this it gonna be easy to fix for a linux expert , anyway David u say wit googletalk i can send sms, right ! can they send it back as well? I need 2 know before download. I love my yahoo

Have you updated your OS on the tablet? (aka: reflashed it since you bought it)

Also, if that doesn't work try www.meebo.com

I've got the latest firmware and the site mentioned by the original poster doesn't work for me either, it must be some deeper incompatibility.


Yes, meebo is recommended by lots of people, and that does apparently work on the tablets.

I just looked at the source for that page, and while I'm just a web design dabbler, it has a single line that defines that is horribly, horribly long. > 35,000 characters! <uggh> .

I wonder if it is overflowing some buffer?

Have you given http://m.yahoo.com/ a try? I don't know if it supports sending SMS, though.
