    osso-backup problem

I tried to do a bakup and it always hangs on the OK button to start the backup. This is a new development, but I can't figure out why its doing it. I treid rebooting, power cycling, etc with no success.

Basically, it just hangs up instead of starting the backup, I can delete backups and check/uncheck what to backup, but as soon as I hit ok, it just hangs with a CPU usage constant at 15 - 25%.

I can kill it and it dies quickly with no seeming issues.

I can't figure out why its hanging though. Is there a config I can delete or something to get it working again?

    Ok.. I'm slow.

If you check back to that thread you'll notice I added a script I've made some time ago but never shared.

Thanks for that. That seems to be the most likely problem as I just installed Claws-Mail. Why can't we have a decent mail app that doesn't break something .. lol!

osso-email - seems to just hose itself and quits responding/opening after a bit of time (like a memory leak)

    Claws-Mail - Hoses backup

Modest - Last time I tried it it seemed to conflict with osso-email too much and was causing some strangeness.

Having encountered this same backup issue has anyone resolved this problem without the xterm command workaround? i am not comfortable with it neither with linux so my only solution it to uninstall claws untill a fix grr
I found claws to be a good mail client which i could depend on

I think by uninstalling claws you don't fix this as the osso-conf file will still remain.

You can move or rename the file also with emelfm2 but you need to run it with root privileges.

Another option would be to ask in claws' bugzilla for this option to be removed for the time being or/and to maemo bugzilla to correct this in osso-backup.
