So I was reading the Maemo brand page in the Wiki, and it mentions Sardine, the supposedly "cutting edge" version of the Hildon Application Framework.
But when you go to the Sardine page that they link to, it looks abandoned, with the about page marked as "(c) 2006" and only mentioning the Nokia 770. The FAQ page is empty and the Current Issues page is a dead link.
What is the current status of Sardine? How does it relate to the official Maemo releases (Chinook, Diablo, etc)?
EDIT: According to the RSS Feed for Sardine releases, there is work being done (at least in May 2008). Hmm.
As a side note, the Maemo brand page also points to the Maemo browser page, another abandoned web page. ("Mozilla based browser for maemo requires the latest version of Internet Tablet OS 2007 for Nokia N800.") I wish these web pages would be taken down if the projects don't update them after a certain period of time; I would rather be taken to the Garage page than to a dead web page. Or does Nokia plan to open up the project and/or update this page at some time in the future?
