I'm still having problems with the config file showing "# Write your default config optoins here!" and not showing either my signin or password (or preferred audio feed).

For example: I'm trying to listen to the post-game Mariners/Braves show on the Seattle feed (I'm assuming it's KOMO). I need to hear it. I *n*e*e*d* to hear what a post-win show is like since it's been so freakin' long... .

However, even if I open the config file and replace the "#..." with "audio_follow=sea" or add "audio_follow=sea" below the "#..." and reboot, I'm not getting the Seattle feed.

And, while I'm on a whine, the I still can't get any videos to be clear. Any. All of them are pixilated.

Finally... I'm not understanding how I even get access to the audio/video feeds if my password and login aren't in the config file... .

But I'd be happy with at least getting the audio feed from the Seattle side, if someone could help me out here.

'Cause there's hope and I want to feed off it for at least the next 20 hours before the Mariners face the Braves again

OK, you've got two seperate issue here, it sounds like.

First: You're in the wrong config file. You want /home/user/.mlb/config not /home/user/.mplayer/config. The Latter is for mplayer itself, and hosts all of the default player settings for when you use mplayer to open a video or audio file. So if you go to the former file name, you should be able to add the audio_follow=sea and have it work. You'll also see your other info stored there (since thats why you can get the audio).

Second: I didn't know that people couldn't open the config dialog in this iteration. In previous iterations, it would hang for me if I opened it twice per launch, but I fixed that error and the config works fine for me. So what I need you to do is open mlbviewer, select the configure option of the menu, and when it doesn't load, quit. Then find the log file ("/home/user/.mlb/outputlog.txt") and either send it to me, or post the text after "setup_cfg" or anything else that isn't either a dictionary of the default settings or a 2 to 3 word line that looks like a function call. That error should help me figure out whats wrong for you.

Oh... ah... that was embarrassing. Should have figured that one :-P

OK. Another question/curiousity. I'm watching the Mariners/Braves game that started at 4. it's now 4:17, I've just reopened the application and the game is still greyed out (though it's showing it's suppose to start at 4PM).

    How does that work?

    Fascinatin', fascinatin'... .

From what I can tell, that is the fault of the way mlb.com changes over between "pregame" status and "in progress" status. As a result, the program thinks that the game is in limbo, much like a game that's hours away. I considered enabling the buttons according to the actual time, but decided I might run into complications with time zones. I am also not sure that I can even get the stream information at that point to let you play the audio.

You know how much I like this app? I'm listening to the post-show autopsy (that was some one-game winning streak, huh?) and I've got the ol' Labtec speakers hooked up and I'm just tickled pink about the whole thing. Figures the best part of the season may just be the ability to listen to KOMO radio for just this part

I can now confirm that mlbviewer works in diablo. I just flashed, installed most of my junk (including mplayer) and then installed right off of page one of this thread. Game recap worked fine, as did live audio. Let me know if you have any issues.

I was hoping to release a more streamlined version this week, but with Diablo I think I'll wait until I can check for python compatibility issues. And I'm spending more time than I should debuging some code on my arduino randomly filling the RAM.

Um... it's a microcontroller with limited memory (1kB) that I can use for input and output in various ways.

Thats the easy answer, trust me.

All I really meant was that I am trying to solve a problem that is not easily found, and it takes way too long.
