One unrelated oddity... I type df -h and get this (trimmed):

/dev/mmcblk0p2 4.0M 2.2M 1.8M 54% /mnt/initfs
/dev/mmcblk0p2 3.3G 316.1M 2.8G 10% /

Same device, two different sizes and mountpoints?
