I cannot read Chinese ebooks (with FBreader) under Diablo, even after I have installed the Maemo CJK.
It is not the case when the OS was still of Chinook version - I could read the Chinese ebooks with Maemo CJK.
    Can anyone help?

I believe my problem is not due to the Font setting in FBreader. As I have mentioned, I could read Chinese ebook using FBreader when the OS was still Chinook,by that time, I had already adjusted the font setting. I do the same after installed the new OS. But it is still not OK.
I have Chinese pdf files too and I could read it with built-in pdf reader (of course, with Maemo CJK installed too) under Chinook. But now, I cannot do so, i.e. it is not only FBreader that cannot find my installed Chinese fonts.
Anyone who can really read Chinese stuffs with other applications, other than using the internal browser ?

I should say that your problem is just font setting.

    works for me™

    1. Read my answer on the link above or follow leavic's answer.
    2. make sure the character set you select while you import the ebook is the same as the ebooks real encoding.

Thanks! It works now! I have missed some steps earlier.
However, do you how I can read the Chinese pdf files with the built-in pdf reader or Evince ?
