Does anyone have tips to where I can find tips on getting started with python for the NIT?

My primary computer is a mac, but I do have VMware installed- so if necessary I can set up a linux machine.

    Thanks,

    -jamie

There are some VMWare images out there such as :
    http://maemovmware.garage.maemo.org/

poking around in there you will find a few python samples for maemo development on the tablet.

The other nice thing about python is that you can easily poke around and see how some of the open source projects on garage written in python work.

I recently started learning Python for programming on my tablet and I've found Dive Into Python to be an amazing resource. It's a step-by-step introduction to Python programming.

Also really helpful was this tutorial on GTK interfaces for the tablet: http://pymaemo.garage.maemo.org/docu...emo_howto.html

And this handy reference on all the PyGTK stuff: http://www.pygtk.org/docs/pygtk/

GTK is probably the easiest UI builder to use, but I'm sure you can find tutorials for PyBuilder and whatever else you want. I'm trying to teach myself Edje/Evas bindings

I hope this helps you a bit!
