    Hello,
I recently flashed my N800 with Diablo. At first everything was fine but after a few days, the tablet stated to lock up. When I start an aplication, the tablet would lock for a minute or so and start again. An app frame would come on, the tablet would lock again, etc. This just go on until I reboot the tablet. Once I reboot the tablet it would run for a couple days and it would start again.

    Anyone suggestions?

    Denny

try disabling Virtual Memory and re-enabling it? A frequent cause of the behavior you described is if the Swap file used for VM is corrupted. If it's feasible, after you disabled VM, reformat the internal SD card (used for VM) - maybe the file system was corrupted.

Thanks. I thought I did that before; I will try that again.

Similar kind of lock up happens to me too after installing Diablo on my N810.

Its more of a screen lock up - sliding the lock/unlock button on the N810 resets the screen again for me. Dont have to reboot though.

Still dont have an answer for it ...

    Hello,
I unchecked and checked virtual memory couple days ago and the tablet worked fine until tonight. When I tried to use it tonight it started locking up again. I rebooted and everything is fine again. Could this be a really slow memory leak or something? It is very annoying.

It's not happening for most of us, so the question is, what is unique about your setup? One thing unique is that we're not using the same sdhc cards as you are. So, maybe a card is going corrupt?

If you have a good way to reproduce this or find out more about the reasons, please file a bug report in https://bugs.maemo.org . Thanks!

Did you press the external memory card all the way in?

Initially i put the memory card and just forced the flap against it... and so experienced some lock ups... but now i use the stylus to click it in place and then cover the flap. my tablet never locked up again.

Regarding reproducing the bug. It just happens being on every couple days. I tried running "ps -aux" and "top" but the tablet was so slow that I was not able to get much.

As for seating the memory card, I will check tonight when I get home.

Maemo-launcher takes lots of CPU cycles. I also noticed that Modest and the browser are also running. I do not use Modest, why is it in the background? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
