I'll stick out my head again and re-state that I'll be _severely_ disappointed if the mythical up-and-coming new NIT doesn't go back to proper full-size SD cards.. mini/micro cards belong to limited-functionality devices like phones etc.

Where is the second Card Slot? By the battery? How do you get the card in there? It's not in my manual.

Lucky dogs and your 64 GBs of storage! I don't even believe there is a 32 GB card for micro SD... alas...

Good luck with this, fellas.
Want to trade? N800 + Navicore of course!

But really it is very funny we have spent more money on SD than the tablet itself ! There is demand then there would be supply. You will have your micro SD soon but with a higher price like your N810

The N800 has internal slot (yes inside next to the battery) and the external slot under the kick stand.

See this tutorial for a video of how to do it (skip to 3:35 on the video to see how to insert an internal card):

I'd be happy with either SD or microSD, there's not much practical difference between them and lots of devices use these formats.

The miniSD format is just really annoying though, because very few devices use it any more. At least with microSD I can move a card from phone to tablet, and with SD from camera to tablet, but miniSD stays in the N810 the whole time.

The great thing about these sdhc cards is that I use them on my camera. Then I transfer directly to N800. The extra cards come in handy for putting music, video, etc...

TA I hope your right. But then again they did make an N810 with WiMax.

I agree with Krisse in that mini SD are pretty much meaningless.. I think the largest one is 6GB and there doesn't seem to be much interest in the format. The one thing they have compared to micro though is that the micro cards are so tiny that they are easily lost (can't just stuff them in pockets like with SD).

For me though micro won't do as good as full size, where can you get 32GB (or even 16?) micro SD? (and when you can, you will be able to get 256GB full-size SD). In any case, as dan said, the thing is that most cameras these day use full-size SD cards. For phones etc. it doesn't matter much what cards they use (well, as long as they're in the mmc/sd family..), they're mostly permanent storage. You don't usually need to put cards from other devices (cameras, recorders) into a phone, but that's what a device like the N800 is useful for.

Anyway, I've repeated my take on this way too many times already.

2.5" smallfootprint HD drive has come down alot on the price. When I bought mine 2 month back $60 shipped for 160G is a steal. Now mostly they are selling for $70-80 shipped, name brand or no name brand.
